Ingredient Costing Icons

To visually assist in recognising that an ingredient has been costed and how long ago it was costed, the recipe ingredient will display two icons under the 'Costed' column. You can view the 'Costed' column by selecting the 'Recipe' menu then looking at the ingredients assigned to the recipe (refer below image).

Hint: if no icons are visible then the ingredient hasn’t been costed. To view the topic on how to cost an ingredient click here.

To view the above image select it with your mouse pointer. To close the image either click the image for a second time or click outside the image.

 

Costing an ingredient causes two things to occur:

1. Once costed, the costed ingredient can be located through the 'Ingredient Costing' menu where you can manage the ongoing cost of the ingredient.

2. The recipe that the ingredient is assisgned to can be added to your list of costed recipes.

The icons that appear under the 'Costed' column have the below meaning:

Icon	Meaning
	A cost has been applied to the ingredient.
	The cost that was entered for the ingredient was created or updated in the last six (6) months.
	The cost that was entered for the ingredient was created or updated more than six (6) months ago.
