Getting Started

The below guide has been put together to assist you in the process of getting your My Recipe Manager subscription up and running in the most efficient way.

  1. Read through this User Guide to see if My Recipe Manager is going to meet your requirements.
  2. If My Recipe Manager is going to meet your requirements then the next thing to do is pay for a subscription.
  3. Once your payment has been received you will be sent instructions and a link to the My Recipe Manager registration form.
  4. Complete the registration form and submit it.
  5. Once your registration form has been received, we will create an account for your school in My Recipe Manager and email you with instructions on how to access it and sign in.
  6. Once you receive these instructions sign into My Recipe Manager to ensure everything has been correctly set up.
  7. Before you create any user accounts for your teachers you will first need to gather some information from them. To view what information you need to obtain please refer to this topic.
  8. Once you have gathered the above information you can start to create user accounts for your teachers.
  9. The next thing you need to do is create your class names.
  10. Once you have created your class names, you can start to create your recipes. We suggest that you create the recipes that you will want to create food orders for first i.e. for the ones you will want a shopping list for in the coming weeks.
  11. Whilst creating your recipes you can also assign ingredients to those recipes or you can assign the ingredients to those recipes later on. Ingredients will need to be assigned to recipes before you start creating shopping lists.
  12. Budgets, if you are going to use them, can be set up next.
  13. With your recipes created you can now start to create food orders.
  14. With your recipes created you can also share one or more of them with other schools or you can keep them private - this is your choice.
  15. With your recipes created you can also use the recipe costing feature that My Recipe Manager offers. Recipe costing is optional i.e. if you decide not to use it then it won't affect anything else that you do in My Recipe Manager. If you would like to know more about recipe costing and how it works click here.

Throughout our User Guide you will come across four different styled boxes. We use these in our content to call out notes, draw attention to warning signs, highlight tips and examples. They are easily identified by their colour and their icons (refer to the images below).
